Spring Snow

Woke up to a covering of snow this morning.  Was really hoping that it would soon warm up so the wildflowers would start growing.  The daffodils I have by the house have been blooming for a couple days but they looked pretty sad this morning covered in snow.  :(  The weekend is supposed to be nicer, so I am wishing for sun and warmer temps.  Have lots of work to do outside.

Spring Here?

I think spring has finally sprung despite the snow covering we woke up to.  I found the first bloom of grass widows in my yard today.  My favorite wildflower!  Hope you enjoy my first wildflower pic of 2011.

Spring is on its way

Hello! This is my first post to my blog. I am new to this but I think it will be fun. It has been a very mild winter here in the Inland Northwest and temperatures have been above normal for awhile. I am definitely getting spring fever. I have been watching my pots where I have plants that I planted last year. I have been worried about the plants surviving winter. I am sure the mild winter helped but I was so excited to see that plants are starting to wake up and sending out new shoots. See the pictures above. The greenish pink leaves are sticky geranium and the dark purple green leaves are Mule's ears.
