Well, I have never tried this before, but a friend of mine pointed me to this great website about photography... http://www.iheartfaces.com/ Each week they have a contest on a specific theme. So this week I thought I would enter a photo on "Anything but a Face". Here it is! My girls!

Back to blogging
Well, I am back to blogging. After working on my website and my facebook page for awhile, I decided I wanted to start over on my blog. I hope you like the new look of the blog. I am going to add more photographs and more information in the future.
Also, I really have spring fever. Hopefully spring is on its way but the snow we got today says mother nature has other ideas. I thought I would post a pic of one of my favorite early spring wildflowers...sagebrush buttercup
Also, I added a slideshow of some of my wildflower photographs. You can also see a larger version on youtube. Hope you enjoy it!

Featuring Wildflower of the Month for March 2010
Spring is officially here! Since we have been busy working to get our plants ready for spring, we thought we would try to feature one wildflower each month. So for March, the flower of the month is grass widows, Sisyrinchium inflatum. Click here: http://www.scribd.com/doc/28219999/Sisyrinchium-inflatum to see our pdf file describing grass widows and how to use them in the landscape. Please let us know if you have any questions about this plant. Also check out our webpage for updates on our inventoryhttp://www.cricketsgarden.com/. Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend.

Spring is on its way

Hello! This is my first post to my blog. I am new to this but I think it will be fun. It has been a very mild winter here in the Inland Northwest and temperatures have been above normal for awhile. I am definitely getting spring fever. I have been watching my pots where I have plants that I planted last year. I have been worried about the plants surviving winter. I am sure the mild winter helped but I was so excited to see that plants are starting to wake up and sending out new shoots. See the pictures above. The greenish pink leaves are sticky geranium and the dark purple green leaves are Mule's ears.
